Vintage Hankie Artcrafts Native American Tribes Arizona
This has to be a rare hankie. I cannot date it, and I have never seen one like it. I believe it is linen, has a pink hand rolled hem and measures 13” square. It features artcrafts of the Hopi, Navajo and Apache tribes of Arizona. There is a little bit of light storage residue on the blue fabric, but it actually blends in with the beautiful, rich earth tones of the handkerchief. Along the right side is a small smattering of tiny black dots which appear to be a factory dye issue. None of this detracts from this wonderful hankie. It does not appear as if this unsigned piece has been used or washed. I feel sure it was part of someone’s collection as it can be of yours.
